ST IVES:
One of Cornwall's premier holiday resorts and an area preferred
by many.
It offers excellent beaches both for swimming and surfing. A
lovely harbour area with a long frontage offering a variety of
amenities.
An extremely old town centre with cobbled streets, numerous
little shops, restaurants, tea rooms and pubs.
The town does get extremely busy during high season but never
boisterous, it does not have the night life of places such as
Newquay. It is popular with families who tend to return on a
regular annual basis.
The town is also famous for it's artists and boasts several art
galleries including The Tate.

TOURING & SURROUNDING AREA
As the cottages are situated on the outskirts of St Ives there
is easy access to the main roads including the A30 trunk road.
Places such as Lands End, Penzance and Truro are just an easy
drive away. Even Cornwall's latest major attraction, The Eden
Project is just an hour away.
Seven miles to the south is Penzance, the largest shopping
centre in the region with a busy harbour and helicopter and boat
services to the Scilly Isles.
Continuing along the coast to Lands End you will pass through
the picturesque fishing villages of Newlyn, Mousehole, Lamorna
Cove and Porthcurno with its open air Minack Theatre, the sea is
a spectacular backdrop.
This part of Cornwall is dotted with mysterious stone circles,
lone standing stones, Neolithic settlements and burial chambers,
and iron age forts. Returning along the north coast you will see
ruined mine shafts on the sky line and pass through the old tin
mining villages of St Just and Zennor.
